Best Mineral Makeup Not The New Matte Bare Minerals

Best Mineral Makeup foundation is that without bismuth and mica. Again for 2009 physicians and now large amounts of consumers are talking about mineral makeup that is bismuth free and mica free the best mineral foundations show also be biron and mica free due to the scratching surface of all those mineral ingredients.

This topic seams to have evolved and stayed in the limelight for quite some time, even allowing web md and the Examiner Mineral Makeup News Writer to be a top ranked in the google and other search for mineral makeup, though Google doesn’t rank sites by who’s the best mineral makeup brand, google as well as all the search engines use their own algorithms to place websites.  But that’s another topic.

Recently bareMinerals aka Bare Minerals, Bare Escentuals, ID Bare Minerals, etc, launched it’s version of matte mineral makeup foundation.  Though the small website offering free mineral makeup matte foundation samples,  had (as of last reading the fine print) absolutely NO information on what the mineral makeup ingredients were.  What’s up with that Bare Minerals.

We have the Sephora site as list the ingredients for those of you that would like to view them. Lauroyl Lysine, Silica, Calcium Silicate, Soil Minerals. May Contain: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides.  (by the way SOIL Minerals is Bare Minerals’s way of NOT having to disclose the REAL ingredients. (see the FDA on trademarked ingredients names)  Be Aware of the other ingredients as MICA is a NO NO in mineral foundation also.  We hoped BE would get it right, but ??????

Most of the reviews at  Sephora are mixed, women either love it or hate it because it just sits on the skin due to the main ingredient Lauroyl Lysine, is derived from coconut fat (who wants fat on their skin) We didn’t see a preservative listed, but this new Bare Minerals Matte Foundaton Better have one, or the FAT ingredient Lauroyl Lysine will start to stink like any fat.  Yuck!

We have the new bare minerals matte foundation makeup samples heading our way and will let you know if the ingredients in their new mineral makeup are good or physician saying “stay away” again.

Recently I ventured into Macy’s department store and walked the makeup counters to see all the mineral makeup brands and mineral makeup ingredients in those makeup brands.

I know there are many women that haven’t tried mineral makeup, mostly because they don’t realize that some mineral makeup companies do provide liquid mineral foundation (maybelline, lumiere, Raesin Images Natural Cosmetics, Covergirl, etc and one even has cream mineral foundation formulated just like MAC cosmetics foundation. (except the Colour ID Minerals Makeup cream foundations have only pure natural ingredients)

The mineral makeup companies I located that had cosmetic ingredients that were recommended by physicians like those at webmd online just didn’t exist in any of the department mineral makeup brands. All these makeup brand labels were way off base, though some felt nice on my skin, when it came to recommended ingredients. Bare Escentuals, i.e. Bare Minerals Makeup has bismuth oxychloride as the first ingredient, steer clear if it makes you break out, or have shine, there’s no reason to use any other makeup product to tone down shine that is in a product. Too costly for our hard eared $$.

I know the best mineral makeup brands in general, want to be on track to factually HELP women’s skin, not cause more problems. (let’s not talk about bismuth oxychloride in mineral makeup again, we all known it’s bad) But with the cosmetic ingredient labels I read, I’d have a hard time recommending them.

I have contact our host and we are going to put up a poll. We want all of you to tell us which mineral makeup company brand you’re using, the listing of ingredients, and why you like it.

Bare Escentuals, aka Bare Minerals has found themselves with legal trouble. Sources reveal securities fraud has investors in an uproar.

The Bare Minerals makeup brands claim to fame is being the founder of “Mineral Makeup” in fact this is not the case, as formulator for the company was let go and new girl on the block CEO Leslie Blodgett found her way to being what some consider a “normal woman” and easy to respect her performances on infomercials and QVC.

This is not the first time Bare Escentuals, inc. aka, bareMinerals has found themselves with legal problems, nor we’re sure will it be the last.

Over the past few years since many smaller mineral makeup companies have found themselves threatened by this and other mineral makeup giants with their own legal actions over term words, names, etc.

Many mineral makeup company owners have reported to the FDA and other agencies problems with harassment via phone, email, and letters from large mineral makeup companies.

Because these larger mineral makeup companies have also threatened mineral makeup blogs and forums we are not at liberty to post their names, but if you would like to know more feel free to email us and we can post a listing to you.

ID Bare Minerals Makeup Review – Bare Escentuals

I used the bareMinerals brand years ago when it came out on QVC but stopped when it made my skin it as I like alot of women have problems with the bismuth oxychloride they use.

I decided to give it a go again because so many women talk about loving the bare minerals esentuals products and thought perhaps my experience years ago was a fluke.

I purchased 2 kits from QVC knowing if they didn’t work I could get a refund since bare minerals doesn’t offer samples.  At one time they allowed vendors to sell samples on ebay but put a stop to that.  It’s too bad, it’s a nice way for home moms to make a little extra and women to try something before they buy it. 

I see almost all mineral makeup companies offer samples so do take advantage of those offers before purchasing full sizes in case your skin is allergic to the bismuth/biron or better yet find a mineral foundation makeup that is bismuth free   Then you won’t have to worry.

I mixed a few of the Bare minerals foundations together to get a similar shade, though they do have more then the 4 or 5 shades that they did when I tried it years ago, I didn’t find an exact match.  I will say it was not cheap so please BM ladies if you’re reading this bring us some sample suppliers to the net it really would help us save all that shipping back and forth

I followed the insert directions for applying mineral foundation makeup and did use alot of product and there wasn’t alot in the containers to start with as the sifter seals are very deep.  It was frustrating as the more I buffed the shinier my face became as well as yellow so the tone was still off for me personally.  I applied the mineral veil which is pink, so that toned down the yellow, and made some of the shine go away.

I decided to call a bare minerals rep and she was helpful and did tell me their foundations seem to have more yellow base so the mineral veil original in the pink will tone it down and stop the shine.

I didn’t really want to use 2-4 products for the right foundation base, but it was nice and creamy in general when rubbed between my fingers.  I of course did break out within 24 hours as I do with any mineral makeup or cosmetic product containing bismuth or biron and it’s not worth my skin having blemishes but I know the BE foundations work well for women with dry skin as it adds shine where with women with oily, combination, or normal skin we do prefer not to be shiny

I think that bare minerals has a nice thing going and there seems to be a nice following though the bare minerals foundation just did not work for me this go round either.
