I tried the Avon Mineral foundation makeup and though I didn’t find an exact match for my deep skin tone. I did like the consistancy and texture.
They are having a buy 1 get one half price sale so this was nice and no shipping since I purchased from my local Avon Rep.
I mixed a few of the Avon Ideal Shade Smooth Mineral Makeup together to create a nice shade for my skin and yes as the avon lady and site said I did and you will too have to use the Transparent Glow to rid your face of the shine. That in itelf was a turn off and the Ideal Shade was shiny with some glitter particles which I really don’t want on my skin at my age.
The mineral brand I use now is 100% Matte Mineral Foundation Makeup and I swear by it. I will be reviewing several real private label mineral makeup brand foundations.
I did like the feel and texture, but as with some of the other mineral makeup brand foundations I’ve tested the Avon brand had some ingredients that I consider chemical/man made as well as the biron/bismuth/mica connection and I just prefer to stay away from things that are known to cause breakouts in some of us users.
I think for those that love Avon and it’s products and I love some of their skin care and swear by it, that if you ask your Avon Rep for a few samples of their mineral foundation Ideal Shade makeup they will be more then happy to allow you to test it and see if it works for your skin
